Happy Mother’s Day

She is my first, great love. She was a wonderful, rare woman - you do not know; as strong, and steadfast, and generous as the sun. She could be as swift as a white whiplash, and as kind and gentle as warm rain, and as steadfast as the irreducible earth beneath us."
D. H. Lawrence:
Enoying my roses while they are here
This Sunday is very special day for many people; this Sunday is Mother’s Day. My mother Lady Williams is the greatest mother that anyone could have wished for. She has a heart that is bigger than the ocean and her love knows no end. She has always believed we can do whatever you want to do in this life if you put God first. She has sacrificed a great part of her life to raise her children and grandchildren. Her heart is devoted to children and helping them to the next stage of life. She is the proud mother of 8 and the Nana of some many.  All of her kids and Nana babies lover her so much. I hope you show your mother how special she is this Mother’s Day. God Bless and Happy Mother’s Day.

"Resurrection Sunday"

Before the "Easter" season began, I asked Pastor J. Marcellas Williams of Life Church International to give us the true reason of this season. Enjoy and be blessed!!!!!

Resurrection Sunday is a time Christians have set apart to celebrate our risen Savior, Jesus Christ. The remembrance of His life, death and resurrection should cause us all to take a pause from our busy lives and be in a posture of thanksgiving. He died for losers that we could become winners. Through His sacrifice He patterned for us true love and true strength.

Pastor J. Marcellas Williams

First, never forget your are deeply loved by the Savior. No matter what you've done or will do, the love Christ has for you has and will never change. He loved you enough to pay the price for your sins. This affords us daily new mercies. You are not a screw up in His eyes. You are His beloved and He has an incredible plan for your life.

Secondly, through the beatings, lies, crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ we see amazing strength. Jesus had to walk this long hard journey alone, but He was victorious. He asked the Father if there were any other way so as to avoid the agony and pain He would have to endure, but there was no other way. He is our example. There is a journey of greatness we all have to chart. It will be hard and sometimes lonely and painful, but if you keep going you will have victory. There is no easy way to greatness, but rest assure that God will walk with you all the way.

Finally, I admonish all children of God to take a moment this season and thank Jesus for his love and strength he displayed just for you. Those of you who don't quite have a relationship with him open your hearts and mind and give him a chance.

2013 Grammy Awards

2013 Grammy Best Dress Men

Nas Grammys
Amber Rose Wiz Khalifa Grammy Awards 2013

2013 Grammy’s Award has its share of well dress gentlemen.  But in my opinion Wiz Khalifa and Nas did it the best. It is very easy to go to an award and blend with the rest of black tuxedo in or stand out is a bad way (The Dream) by being different.  But when you do it just right you will get all the attention.
Wiz Khalifa wore a simple ivory tuxedo jacket, slim fit black slacks, white spread collar  evening wear dress shirt with a black bowtie. But what set him apart was the black velvet slipper he wore. It very easy to put on some black dress shoes but he decided to take one step up and wear the slippers. And for that reason he was one of the best dress men at the award show.
Nas did it better than anyone else at the award show. Once again he was very simple: Black pants, white spread collar shirt, black bowtie, white pocket square. What set  Nas apart from the men is the Champagne Tuxedo blazer . The blazer was not overbearing but it stood out in the perfect way.  Then he finished it by wearing the black slippers. This was styled perfectly for his image. Nas was the best dress man at the 2013 Grammy Awards

Simply Beautiful

Simply Beautiful
The 2013 Presidential Inauguration Ball, The 1st family was stunning. The president and his beautiful wife illustrated what it means to be “Simply Beautiful.” President Obama wore his classic black tuxedo with the white bowtie and white pocket square. He showed everyone that the classic look is forever. Mrs. Obama wore a breath taken ruby red chiffon gown by Jason Wu. The President and First Lady were a marvelous site to see.

MLK Day

MLK DAY

This photo from http://www.life.com/Life/mlk/mlk02.html
On this MLK Day, I am extremely grateful for my accomplishments that I have made. I began this day looking back on my journey on how I got to this a point and I am just thankful. I realize that my journey did not begin with me, but it began before I was even thought of. I am benefiting from people who saw a better future for me; who believed that I was the head and not the tail. People who knew that dreams where meant to be dreamt and then turned into reality. People who knew that I was able to become anything I wanted to be in life with hard work. People who knew that I was equal to every race, and knew that the only thing I needed was a even playing field to show my true talent. On this day, it is time to look back and remember the bridge that brought you and I  over and the people who died to build that bridge for you and I.
